To wrap up our participation in World Intellectual Property Day activities, on April 28 we had the privilege of being part of the panel discussion “Music and Intellectual Property,” organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru. During the event, we reflected on the connection between music and IP, as well as the challenges and opportunities arising in an environment increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence. Thank you to AmCham for creating this space for dialogue and collective learning.

On Friday, April 25, Adriana Barrera, representing ASIPI, participated as a speaker in the webinar “The Protection of Copyright in the Digital Era: Challenges and Opportunities for Authors and Publishers,” organized by the Editorial Universitaria and the Intellectual Property Committee of Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón - UNIFÉ. We also congratulate the Law Students Association of that university for presenting its first Legal Newsletter covering legal and current affairs topics.

On April 25, we conducted two successful IP trainings in Apurímac and Loreto. We thank the Regional Command of Apurímac and Loreto for their participation, and all the brands involved, as well as Mr. Jorge Fernández, IP Prosecutor - Apurímac; Mr. Mirko Díaz, Northeast Regional Delegate - The Commission for the Fight against Customs Crimes and Piracy; Ms. Jennifer Chicoski, Regional IP Attaché - USPTO; and Mrs. Silvia Solís, Legal Advisor - USPTO, for their valuable contributions to these trainings.

And to continue the World Intellectual Property Day celebrations, last Friday, April 25, we visited the Faculty of Music at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and organized a discussion among students, musicians, and intellectual property experts. It was a great experience sharing knowledge “To the Rhythm of Music” and “To the Rhythm of IP.”
